The Aavegotchi Launch is imminent! [Aavegotchi Monthly Highlights #February]
Official launch date announced
Hey Frens,
It’s been a wild ride, from our token launch in September, to the decision to migrate to L2 back in January. Now the wait is finally over — Aavegotchis are coming!
Aavegotchi to launch on March 2nd!
We are thrilled to announce that Aavegotchi, the groundbreaking digital pet collectibles game, is set to launch on Tuesday, March 2 at 10am EST / 11pm SGT.
The launch event will take place at Aavegotchi.com and feature an NFT (non-fungible token) drop that releases 10,000 Aavegotchi Portals for the public.
Dubbed “Haunt One,” this launch release marks the first time fans of the game will be able to summon Aavegotchis.

Surprise! We’re launching an Aavegotchi NFT Marketplace
Yes frens, this is the future we knew we wanted, but didn’t know we could enjoy so soon. An official Aavegotchi Marketplace is launching alongside Portals and Wearables on March 2nd, to ensure your Gotchi fren has a fine wardrobe that fits its personality.

Visit the Aavegotchi Shop for the latest releases of wearables, potions etc and then browse the various categories of resales including:

Chainlink VRF launches on Polygon, enabling provably-rare Aavegotchis
On February 23rd, Chainlink VRF is live on Polygon (formerly Matic), making our launch possible.
Chainlink Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF) is the gold standard for verifiable random number generation, ensuring that traits are assigned to Aavegotchis in a provably unbiased and tamperproof manner by Aavegotchi Portals. This means all users have a fair opportunity of earning rare Aavegotchis, with on-chain proof in the integrity of the process.
In case you missed it: read our CEO Coder Dan’s article on Why Aavegotchi chose Polygon for our launch.
AavegotchiDAO, Assemble: Discussion of Portal Drop Buy Limits
This February, we launched the official AavegotchiDAO Governance Forum at dao.aavegotchi.com! To kickstart community participation in the governance of the Aavegotchi game mechanics, we want YOU to decide how the initial 10,000 Portals will be distributed.
The voting commenced on February 23rd, and will last for 72 hours, so hurry up to cast your vote!

We hope you are as excited about March as we are!
Stay spooky frens!
